During the Christmas of 1876, a topsail schooner from the island of Ærø sailed into a fierce storm on its route from Firth of Forth to Kiel. Laden with a cargo of coal, the ship was mercilessly battered for three weeks until all hope was gone for the six sailors aboard.
Created using 3D software, the schooner is being outfitted, the sailors clad, and the winter gale is being put into place. Shooting of the actual puppet movie is scheduled for 2024.
